About Paramount Industries

India was building its first five star hotel, Hotel Ashoka, New Delhi in 1957, India had just got its independence and had acute shortage of foreign exchange. The management was in a great dilemma as to how to avoid drainage of foreign exchange in procuring Refrigeration & Kitchen Equipment, they were buying this imported equipment from Best & Co. A meeting was called by the management of the Hotel with the supplier of imported equipment to explore the possibility of manufacturing these equipment in India.

They asked if any one could make these equipment here in India and one young engineer, O. P. Mehra, who was working with Best & Co., rose up and said he could make these equipment. Commercial Kitchen equipment was born in India so was Paramount Industries.

Mr. O. P. Mehra introduced most of the Kitchen equipment that are available now starting with Cooking Ranges, Griddle Plates, Sink Units, Commercial Refrigerators etc. Since then Late Mr. O. P. Mehra had been awarded Vijay Ratna and Glory of Paramount Industries was incorporated in 1957, i.e. 50 years ago, pioneered most of the equipment. Paramount has a wide range of Equipment which covers all the requirements of any modern Kitchen, Bakery, House Keeping, Material Handling.

Paramount Central Sales Office is situated in Delhi from where all the Sales functions are controlled. A team of factory trained representatives travel across the country to reach customers even in the remotest corners of the Country. Branch Offices are located in Mumbai & Bangalore. Paramount also helps in designing Kitchen Equipment layout plans to ensure modern, economical, efficient and hygienic kitchen.
